Dental implants are a key part of dental surgery – i.e. of that part of dental medicine that covers surgical interventions in the oral cavity. The most popular surgical intervention in dentistry is probably the removal of wisdom teeth.
Besides numerous interventions (such as tooth removal, resection of root tips or the removal of cysts and tumours out of the jaw bone) also the correction of the labial frenulum and the fibroma removal are parts of this field.
