Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment (“endodontics”) is used for
toothache when the pains are caused by the nerve
of a tooth becoming infected, inflamed or dying.
This involves removing the affected nerve from the
root canal and inserting an antibacterial and anti-
inflammatory medicated dressing. After healing,
the root canal is then tightly sealed with a root filling.
